CIRCULAR  NOTICE  NO. 73

 

 

TO:      ALL  T&E EMPLOYEES                                                                 NOVEMBER 1, 2008

 

                    

TAXI DOORS

 

 

When you are instructed to transport to a destination via taxi cab, in addition to other instructions already issued:

 

·        Do not operate any doors of the vehicle, neither opening nor closing, except in case of an emergency.

 

·        No IHB employees are permitted to ride in the front seat while being transported. 

 

·        It is your responsibility to ensure that your grip is on board, and you are properly buckled into your seat belt.

 

·        It is the driver’s responsibility to ensure that appropriate doors and gates are opened, that your grip is properly stored, and all doors are properly closed before proceeding. 

 

·        The driver is required to observe that you are properly belted into your seat before proceeding for the safety of all concerned.

 

Note:  The driver may assist you with your grip, but it is your responsibility to

ensure it is on board before proceeding.

 

Safety rules apply whenever we are performing our duties and you are reminded to review Safety Rules 22, 1000, and 1500 through 1516 when you transport via a vehicle.
