RADIO ANTENNAS
It has been brought to my attention that employees are purchasing and using portable radio antennas other than those supplied with IHB portable radios.
Be advised that portable radios are "matched" to the antennas provided, and the use of any antenna other than that supplied with the radio can drastically reduce the operating range of the radio or activate an internal protection circuit that will cause the portable radio to cease transmitting.
IHB portable radios will be used only with the antennas provided with the portable radio. There will be no exceptions.
NORAC Operating Rule 703 applies.
