CIRCULAR NOTICE NO. 40

TO: ALL CONCERNED JUNE 1, 2008

LOCOMOTIVE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

Prior to tying up at locations where locomotive servicing facilities are not available, engineers are required to report locomotive defects to the IHB Dispatch Center.

When practical to do so, a copy of the EL106 must be faxed to the Gibson Roundhouse at 219-989-4892.

Engineers working yard and industry switch assignments must report defective locomotives to the appropriate yardmaster or trainmaster prior to tying up when locomotives are left at any locations other than roundhouse territory.

All of the above actions must be carried out consistent with hours of service requirements.
